One of Bravo’s “Real Housewives” of New York is moving from reality TV star to ABC News personality.

She’s Jill Zarin, the former cast member on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New York City” who is not returning to the reality show. That’s been known for a couple of weeks; what wasn’t known was what she’ll do now.

Well, she spilled the beans on that, announcing Thursday that she’s joining the new ABC News show “Good Afternoon America,” a spinoff of sorts of “Good Morning America” that’s due to premiere Monday (July 9) at 2 p.m./1c, co-anchored by Lara Spencer and Josh Elliott.

According to this story, Zarin says she’ll appear on the new “GAA” as a correspondent specializing in reporting news about reality TV.

Zarin, 48, made the announcement on her blog — here. “I want to share some great news,” she wrote. “I was asked to be a special correspondent on a new afternoon show on ABC called Good AFTERNOON America, that will air live from Times Square daily.” She went on to write that she’ll appear every Wednesday — starting July 11.

Of course, there’s no telling yet how far this new gig will take her. “GAA” is scheduled to air for nine weeks. Whether it will catch on, and earn an extension, only time will tell.
