Oprah Winfrey’s decision to help her father has sparked a family feud for the media mogul.

Local Nashville station WSMV reports that Winfrey purchased her father Vernon Winfrey’s barbershop after the property had gone into foreclosure. The business had been considered a fixture for the community for the past 50 years but had recently gone into foreclosure.

However, Oprah’s stepmother, Barbara Winfrey, told the station that she was furious about the move, stating that she was going to take out a loan in order to take care of the financial issues of the business and now resented that her stepdaughter had decided to intervene.

“I know what is going on,” she told reporters. “And I’m tired of it. I’ve had enough.”

She later added that Oprah “doesn’t care about the community, doesn’t care about the barbershop, but I do.”

However, Vernon Winfrey has other ideas, telling the station that he and his wife “have not been getting along well.” In fact, he has now filed for divorce from Barbara.
