Paget Brewster is going from one crime scene to another.

The former “Criminal Minds” star has booked a guest-starring role on “Law & Order: SVU,” NBC announced Wednesday.

She’ll appear in the two-hour season premiere of “SVU” on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 9/8c — coincidentally, airing opposite the “Criminal Minds” premiere over on CBS.

As the “L&O” procedural heads into its 14th season, Brewster plays the head of the Public Integrity Unit in the District Attorney’s office. She’s in charge of the case against Capt. Cragen (Dann Florek), who is suspected of murder.

The “SVU” season opener also features the return of several guest stars who appeared in last year’s finale, including Laura Benanti, Pippa Black, Peter Jacobson, Ron Rifkin, Brooke Smith, and Dean Winters.

Brewster played “Criminal” investigator Emily Prentiss on the CBS drama for six seasons before leaving the show (for a second time) earlier this year.
