Roseanne Barr continued her high-flying campaign to legalize marijuana when she appeared on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” Tuesday night on NBC.

The sitcom great has been outspoken on this issue ever since she took up residence on a nut farm (macadamia nuts, that is) in Hawaii. The story of her relocation from L.A. to Hawaii was told in her short-lived reality series, “Roseanne’s Nuts,” which aired on Lifetime last summer.

This summer, though, she’s making the talk-show rounds in advance of next month’s Comedy Central Roast, in which she’s the guest of dishonor, on Aug. 12. Just last week, on David Letterman’s “Late Show,” she challenged President Obama to lighten up on the marijuana issue and support legalization.

She continued her marijuana-legalization advocacy on the “Fallon” show when Jimmy asked her if it’s true she’s running for president.

“I am running for president,” Roseanne insisted, “on a legalizing pot platform. I’m all for legalizing marijuana!”

Apparently, Roseanne has taken up smoking marijuana for unspecified medicinal purposes, as she has admitted publicly more than once.

Jimmy told her he’d heard Willie Nelson, whose marijuana use is no secret, had agreed to be her running mate. “That lasted about two minutes!” Roseanne joked. “He was gonna do it, but he got so stoned, he forgot! And then he backed out.”

Jimmy and Roseanne also talked at length about the last time they saw each other — 10 years ago at a star-studded 50th birthday party comedy star Dan Aykroyd threw for himself. Roseanne and Jimmy then played “Password.”
