Sharon Stone has joined the roster of roasters who will heat things up for Roseanne Barr as she prepares to become the next guest of dishonor on a Comedy Central Roast.
The Roseanne Roast is scheduled to be taped this Saturday (Aug. 4) in L.A., and then air eight days later on Sunday, Aug. 12.
The addition of Sharon Stone was announced Monday by Comedy Central, which also named Carrie Fisher, Katey Sagal and Seth Green to the roaster roster.
Comedians Anthony Jeselnik, Jeffrey Ross and Amy Schumer will also perform. And while Ross has worked some of these Roasts in the past as emcee (when Seth MacFarlane hasn’t held that post), the Roastmaster General for this event is “Glee” star Jane Lynch.
So what’s the connection between these Roasters and Roseanne? Well, in the case of Stone, Fisher, Sagal and Green, it’s possible they’re friends in private life. Or maybe they worked together. Or maybe it’s a combination of both.
We did learn from a brief Internet search that Stone once guest-starred on “Roseanne” as a trailer park resident.
