“Hawaii Five-0” has booked Ving Rhames for a guest-starring role this season on the cop drama.
Rhames will go “toe-to-toe” with Danno (Scott Caan), as a man from his past that we’ll meet in a flashback to Danno’s time as a cop in New Jersey. Viewers can expect Rhames to pop up in present day Hawaii as well.
The network teases, “It’s going to get bloody.”
CBS announced the casting news Thursday on its Twitter page.
Rhames previously starred in his own remake of seventies cop show in 2005’s “Kojak” on the USA Network. He’s best known for his roles in the films “Pulp Fiction” and the “Mission: Impossible” franchise.
As for what fans can look forward to in the third season premiere? Besides the addition of Christine Lahti as McGarrett’s (Alex O’Loughlin) mother? Executive producer Peter Lenkov recently told xfinityTV, “Somebody definitely dies. There will be blood.” Read our exclusive interview here.
Season 3 of “Hawaii Five-0” premieres Monday, Sept. 24 at 10/9c on CBS.
