NEW YORK (TheWrap.com) – NBC’s upcoming drama “Revolution” – which imagines a future where all sources of energy have disappeared – will help viewers get in the mood with a bicycle-powered screening next week.

The screening Tuesday in New York City is one of ten screenings planned around the country before the show’s premiere. Cyclists including series star Tim Guineee will pedal to generate enough energy for the screening.

Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to walk or bike to the event, at Hudson River Park’s Pier 57. In a Portlandian touch, bikes messengers will be available. (Seating for the screenings is first come, first served.)

“Revolution,” produced by J.J. Abrams, Jon Favreau and Eric Kripke, premieres Monday, September 17 at 10 p.m., following “The Voice.”

“Revolution” will also screen in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, Wilmington, and Seattle.
