Does Khloe Kardashian have another reality show in her future?
“There’s at least an 85% chance she’ll get the job,” an insider tells TMZ.
If chosen, Kardashian would replace Steve Jones, who was fired after one season on the reality competition series.
The rationale behind the potential decision is Khloe’s appeal to a younger audience. Producers reportedly feel she compliments the investment the show has made to garner a younger demo with the additions of Britney Spears and Demi Lovato on the judge’s panel.
On a conference call on Thursday, Simon Cowell admitted that several people were in the running for the job, but his intuition tells him he won’t limit the position to just one. “My gut feeling is we’ll probably go with a boy and a girl who haven’t had any hosting experience because I think that might be more interesting,” he said.
“I think you’ve got to mix it up a little bit,” he added of the possibility of two hosts. “You’ve got to find people with good chemistry as well.”
Although the second season of “The X Factor” premieres next week, a host – or hosts – won’t appear until the live shows begin airing next month. Cowell told reporters he expects to make a final decision “in the next three or four days.”
