The winner of Season 3’s “MasterChef” was chosen on Monday night’s season finale in what judges Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot call one of the toughest decisions ever.
It was down to the final two — Josh Marks, a 24-year-old U.S. Army contract specialist, and Christine Ha, a 33-year-old creative writing grad student from Texas — to make the three-course meal of their lives. After an ambitious, impressive and sophisticated menu selection from both chefs, Christine was chosen as the winner.
Ha’s achievement is even more admirable when you realize she is blind.
The new MasterChef takes home the top prize, which includes $250,000, a cook book deal and the bragging rights to being America’s best home cook.
“I just can’t believe that I’m the ‘MasterChef’,” Christine cried after her big win, according to People. “This has been them most amazing experience. After all the obstacles I’ve been through, going up against such awesome amazing cooks … I’m living proof that dreams come true against all odds.”
