Insurance salesman Sean Lowe, who had his heart broken after being rejected on “The Bachelorette,” is about to get a chance at redemption.
Executive producers of “The Bachelor” have selected Lowe to be be the new lonely lad looking for love in the next cycle of the series, sources told E! News.
Although Warner Bros. TV Studio had no comment about the selection, the site’s source said that the deal with the former Bachelorette contestant is “pretty much done. Sean is our choice.”
Lowe made it all the way to the final three on “The Bachelorette” before Emily Maynard sent him packing.
The producers were also reportedly considering Arie Luyendyk, Jr., the race car driver who finished second in the season. However he shot down those rumors last week. “Just to clarify I will not be the next “Bachelor,” he tweeted on Sept. 6.
Olympic Gold Medal swimmer Ryan Lochte was also rumored to be in consideration, but was announced to be out of contention last week.
