Actor Ed Asner may be in his 80s, but as he proved to the ladies of “The View,” he still has all the wildness of a younger man.
The actor joined his “Grace” costar Paul Rudd on Friday’s show to promote their play and ended up causing quite a stir on set. As the pair were greeting the show’s hosts, Asner took it upon himself to give Barbara Walters more than a friendly hug, opting to grab her behind before taking his seat on stage.
“I go wherever I can,” joked Asner. “Wherever the Lord leads me.”
A visibly flustered Walters responded, “This is not what we expect of you,” and then asked Rudd, “Is he like this all the time?”
“Oh yeah,” replied Rudd. “He’s done the hand thing to me too.”
Joking that he felt neglected, guest co-host Tim Hasselbeck moved closer to Asner and was treated to the same groping the actor had bestowed upon Walters.
“He’s a scene stealer!” responded Walters, as Asner’s hand crept up Hasselbeck’s thigh before he pretended to grope the former football player’s chest.

While Asner had glowing things to say about Rudd’s turn in “Grace,” he also had a few choice words for some of his former costars.
The 82-year-old bachelor said of his “Mary Tyler Moore Show” costar Cloris Leachman, “She had an ass that you could carry a tray on.”
Despite their mutual affection, Asner admitted that he and Leachman never consummated their relationship. “Cloris is a very vigorous anti-smoking, anti-fat person,” explained the actor. “She said, ‘You lose 30 pounds and we’ll get together.'”
“Did you lose 30 pounds?” asked Sherri Shepherd.
“No, I lost 29,” joked Asner.
