In addition to the extra episodes the network will also air three holiday (“HOLLAday”) specials pegged to Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
“’Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ has become a pop culture phenomenon,” TLC general manager Amy Winter said via release. “What you see is what you get and we are excited to share even more of Alana and her family’s unbridled hilarity, sincerity and love with our viewers.”
“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” follows 6-year-old Alana Thompson and her family including mom June, dad “Sugar Bear,” and and sisters 12-year-old Lauryn “Pumpkin”, 15-year-old Jessica “Chubbs”, and 17-year-old Anna “Chickadee.”
Since premiering in August, “Boo Boo” has averaged 2.3 million weekly viewers.
