After implementing steals to shake up season three of “The Voice,” producers of the hit NBC series are adding another element designed to bring even more drama to the singing competition.

The series is adding a new knockout round, according to The Hollywood Reporter, that will take place the last week of October, when a pair of two-hour episodes of the show will air on the 29th and 30th.

The knockout round will feature each team beginning with 10 members. The contestants will then choose their own song to perform. According to the report, “On the day of the show, they’ll find out who they are paired up against, which is up to their coach. One of the contestants will then sit in the corner of the stage and watch as the other performs. The coaches will then cut their teams down to five members for the live shows.”
