Producers for “The X Factor” wowed contestants and viewers alike when the groups of singers were brought to the glamorous homes of the FOX show’s four judges.
One problem, the mansions that they showed which allegedly belonged to Simon Cowell and Britney Spears were actually someone else’s digs, according to TMZ. In fact, one of the houses (which the show said belonged to Simon) actually belonged to MLB star Alex Rodriguez. Meanwhile, Britney’s fake “home” in Malibu was shown instead of her real house in Calabasas.
As for Demi’s house, Zap2it says that the “home” shown is actually a loft in downtown Los Angeles that is often used in music videos and photo shoots.
Representatives for the show finally admitted on Thursday that the residences presented as the homes of Cowell and Spears are “not necessarily” their actual residences, according to The Wrap.
“The ‘Judges Homes’ part of the show is filmed in a house of the judges’ choice, not necessarily the judges’ own homes,” reps for the show told the news site.
