Is Colton boltin’?

Teen Wolf” costar Colton Haynes is reportedly leaving the show, according to Us Weekly.

A source tells the magazine that Haynes will not be returning to the MTV series for the third season, which begins filming Dec. 3.

“Colton is leaving Teen Wolf,” the source told Us. “It’s not that he didn’t want to return because he did. It’s that the heads of the show wanted to limit him to only appearing on half the season — 12 episodes, not 24.”

Haynes, 24, appeared to confirm the news in a Tweet Thursday.

“These past few yrs have been the best of my life,” he wrote. “I’m sad that this chapter has ended, but excited for a new one to begin. Thx for the love.”

Haynes plays Jackson Whittemore on the MTV remake of the 1985 Michael J. Fox movie. His character transformed into a werewolf in the Season 2 finale, but it is unclear how (or if) his character will be written off the show.
