Have you started your Christmas list yet? No? Good. Because Oprah Winfrey is bringing back “Oprah’s Favorite Things” for a two-hour TV special airing November 18 on OWN.
Yep, the popular stunt and shopping addict’s dream returns to kick-off the holiday season, but this time, you and you and you WON’T be getting a car, because Oprah is saving her surprise presents for military wives.
On this year’s special, “Oprah reveals her must-haves for this holiday season and pulls off a top-secret giveaway for an unsuspecting group of deserving military spouses,” according to the release, as “Oprah, her staff and her team of experts take viewers behind the scenes to show how it all comes together.”
The premiere of the docu-series “Married to the Army: Alaska” will air immediately following “Favorite Things” at 10/9c on OWN.
Meanwhile, not all viewers will be left with a pile of coal in their stockings. For the first time, viewers will have the opportunity to “Watch and Win” select items featured on the program by texting key words at various points during the broadcast.
Oprah’s annual gift bonanza hasn’t happened since 2010, when Winfrey ended her daytime talk show to launch her own cable network.
“Oprah’s Favorite Things 2012” airs Sunday, November 18 from 8/7c – 10/9c on OWN.
