Stop us if you’ve heard this one before…
Another couple who got engaged on a reality show have broken up.
Tony Pieper and Blakeley Jones, who got engaged on this season of ABC’s “Bachelor Pad,” have decided to end their relationship after less than a month.
Pieper, a 30-year-old single dad from Portland, was partnered with Jones on the third season of the “Bachelor” spinoff, and ended up proposing to her with a $100,000 rock on the Sept. 10 finale.
“Unfortunately, things didn’t work as we had hoped,” Pieper told Wetpaint. “No one is to blame. It just ended up being a lot harder than we expected. I wish her nothing but the absolute best. She deserves total happiness.”
A former VIP cocktail waitress, Jones, 34, had moved to Oregon to be with Tony and his 11-year-old son but she’s expected to move back to her home in Charlotte, N.C., according to Us Weekly.
Blakeley was a castoff from Ben Flajnik’s season as “The Bachelor,” who earlier this month ended his yearlong engagement to his final pick, Courtney Robertson, who was then allegedly snapped smooching “Bachelorette” runner-up Arie Luyendyk, Jr., who was passed over by Emily Maynard for Jef Holm … who also broke up last week. PHEW! Seriously, these incestuous “Bachelor” cross-show couplings are more sordid than any telenovela we’ve ever heard of.
