NBC has given Howie Mandel another show — a new “event” game show that will run for five consecutive nights in December.

This new show, titled “Take It All,” will have the high-energy comedian challenging contestants to risk prizes they have already won for the chance to win even more.

NBC has so much confidence in this show that it is clearing seven hours of prime time just to air it. The schedule, according to an announcement from NBC on Friday, goes like this: “Take It All” will air for five consecutive nights — Monday, Dec. 10, through Friday, Dec. 14, from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. (8-9c) — and then have a two-hour finale on the following Monday, Dec. 17, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. (8-10c).

Clearly, NBC likes being in business with Howie Mandel. The 56-year-old comedian is one of the judges on “America’s Got Talent” and he hosted another prime-time game show for the network, “Deal or No Deal.”

Scheduling a prime-time game show over consecutive nights is a rarity in network television. The last one we can remember was the original “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?,” which ABC aired on consecutive nights over two weeks in August 1999, hosted by Regis Philbin.
