Watch: ‘Simpsons’ Boss Mr. Burns Makes an Endorsement for Mitt Romney

Montgomery Burns (FOX)

Sure, he may have lost New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and former Secretary of State Colin Powell, but Mitt Romney did reel in the endorsement of one powerful and wealthy man, Montgomery Burns.

In a new video, the long-running “Simpsons” villain makes a plea with voters to mark Romney on their ballots, and tries to put an end to a scandal that has plagued the Republican candidate (No, not the 47% quip). Instead, he looks to put an end to the story about Romney strapping his Irish setter Seamus to the top of his car while driving cross-country.

“You like to be tied to the roof of the car because it allows you to see more of this great land of ours and its wonderful natural resources… ripe for mining and drilling and exploiting?” Burns asks the dog, before Smithers moves his boss along.
