After awkwardly insulting her upon their first meeting, Brandi Glanville is making it up to Yolanda H. Foster by defending her new “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” costar.

Foster, 48, is taking some heat following Monday night’s episode, which featured footage of the former model acting like an over-the-top stage mom to her budding catwalker daughter, Gigi, 17, during a photo shoot.

Some viewers were appalled that Yolanda was seen intervening with the stylist to make sure Gigi would be wearing “something sexy,” advised the make-up artist not to make Gigi’s eyes look “too Chinese,” hovered over the photographer while he was taking the shots, and even warned her daughter about her eating habits.

“You can have one night of being bad,” Foster told Gigi — who was celebrating her birthday later that night. “And then you gotta get back on your diet. In Paris, they like the girls a tad on the skinny side.”

But Glanville, 39, defended Foster, telling Us Weekly, “I think people are taking it the wrong way, because she’s awesome!”

“It’s coming across like a stage mom, but she’s not,” Brandi says. “She’s such a loving mom, and Gigi’s such a good girl. She does whatever she wants and she eats whatever she wants. I’ve never seen her diet.”

Being a former model herself, Glanville adds that she wished she had someone looking out for her like that during her modeling years.

“Just being a model and having been shipped off to Paris at 17, I wish my mom could have been at some of those photo shoots because there are some creepy people out there.”

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo.
