Over the years, there’s been a “Peanuts” TV special for just about every occasion, so why not “Black Friday,” the frenzied first day of the Christmas shopping season that comes the day after Thanksgiving?
Jimmy Kimmel and his writers and producer’s apparently wondered what a “Peanuts” Black Friday special would be like, so they came up with their own entitled “It’s Black Friday, Charlie Brown!”
You can see the results in the above clip — seen on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” — as some of the “Peanuts” pals morph into mortal enemies when it comes to the Christmas shopping bargains they covet and compete for.
We loved this bit because, as much as we love Peanuts (doesn’t everyone?), we love a Peanuts parody even more.
Of course, Kimmel’s network — ABC — has the broadcast rights to all the Peanuts holiday specials, including “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,” which aired Wednesday night and drew around 8 million viewers.
