Merry Christmas, “SNL” fans! A favorite “SNL” alum will be coming to you … Live, from New York! for the holidays.

Martin Short is hosting the Christmas episode of “Saturday Night Live” — featuring musical guest Paul McCartney, NBC announced Tuesday.

This will be Short’s third return to his old stamping grounds as guest host. (Here’s hoping Ed Grimley is coming “home” for the holidays too!) And it will mark the fourth appearance of the Beatles’ legend as the musical guest.

That episode of “SNL” will air on Dec. 15 at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.

While it is a very special episode of “SNL,” indeed, it shouldn’t be confused with “SNL Christmas,” the two-hour special airing in prime-time this Wednesday night, Nov. 28 at 9/8c, featuring a compilation of fan-favorite holiday sketches from “Saturday Night Live” over the years.

As previously announced, Jamie Foxx will host the Dec. 8 episode of “SNL,” featuring NE-YO as the musical guest.
