Looks like underdogs can be fabulous, too.

After traveling across three continents, nine countries, twenty cities and more than twenty five thousand miles without winning a single leg of “The Amazing Race,” goat farmers-life partners Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge came back to win the only leg that counted: the final one.

The stars of  “The Fabulous Beekman Boys” took home the $1 million prize and the title of “Amazing Race” Season 21 champs on Sunday night in a dramatic finale concluding at New York City’s Gotham Hall.

The victory came despite a set-back the duo suffered while delivering pizzas during a Detour earlier in the episode.

“We never ever thought we’d hear you say those words to us,” a tearful Brent said to host Phil Keoghan, who greeted the duo with the good news.

“We hope this is proof to people – whether they’re a minority or they’re out of work or they’re losing their house, that if they just keep going and working as hard as they can that people will help and at some point you will win,” added an equally teary-eyed Josh.

Josh said the $1 million dollar prize would allow the duo to spend more time together as a couple, since he’s been working in Manhattan for the past five years while Brent tended their goat farm.

“This has really brought us back together again,” he said. “I’ve had to work in the city and he’s on the farm, so winning this race actually will bring us physically together again for the next fifty years.”
