Just as we suspected, that mischievous Elf on the Shelf watching your kids (and you!) for Christmas is just dying to rat you out to Santa.

In a sketch that was cut from this weekend’s Christmas episode of “Saturday Night Live,” Bobby Moynihan dressed as Santa’s little spy and revealed with glee that he’s “a rat fink” who loves being a tattletale.

So if you end up on Santa’s “Naughty List” this year, it’s probably his fault.

“I’m a little snitch and I love it! Wheeeee!” the giddy Elf exclaimed. Why does he love his job so much? “Because he gets a cut from Santa,” of course.
