UPDATE: The CW has decided it will not order a third season of “The L.A. Complex,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
A network spokesperson confirmed Thursday that The CW is pulling the plug on the Canadian soap about Hollywood wannabes. It was announced December 4 that the Canadian broadcaster that airs “The L.A. Complex” was cancelling the series after two seasons.
One of TV’s little known guilty pleasures, “The L.A. Complex,” will not be renewed for a third season by its Canadian broadcaster Bell Media.
The Canadian soap about Hollywood wannabes chasing their dreams also airs on The CW. The series debuted stateside this summer to remarkably low ratings but still gained an addictive following among those that did watch.
But now that “The L.A. Complex” has been shutdown up north after two seasons, it could spell the end of the show on The CW as well.
However, The CW has not yet made a decision on the future of the “Complex” drama, as they are still in discussions with Epitome productions.
The show’s producer, Stephen Sohn of Epitome Pictures, is also reportedly “still exploring its options for the series,” according to The Hollywood Reporter, such as the series heading to a different Canadian network.
