It will take at least one more season for audiences to figure out “How I Met Your Mother.”
Deadline reports that “HIMYM” will return for season nine now that Jason Segel has decided to come back for another round. With his deal in place, all of the series stars are now on locked in to contracts and CBS will being the show back for what appears to be the season. Their contracts had been set to expire at the end of this season.
Apparently, the show was all but dead. The site reports that Segel, whose movie career has been on fire, “decided to bail and leave the cast hanging. But he just got turned around today at the last second. The show was literally dead.”
“HIMYM” continues to be one of the network’s strongest comedy performers, despite going up against competition such as “The Voice.”
