The arrest took place in a part of Los Angeles that was apparently being closed to traffic in advance of a planned marathon.
According to TMZ, Gibson was told the area was closed to traffic, but he started to drive through it anyway.
That’s when he was stopped and ordered to take a breathalyzer test. He refused to take the test, and was arrested, TMZ said.
There’s no word on Gibson’s status at the moment, but the TMZ story said his bail was set at $15,000 and, at the time TMZ posted its report, he was still in custody.
Gibson plays an FBI agent on the CBS cop show. He was previously seen on “Dharma and Greg,” co-starring with Jenna Elfman.
Meanwhile, TMZ also had a report Saturday — one that had been undiscovered from earlier in the week — that actor Josh Brolin was arrested just before midnight on New Year’s Eve in Santa Monica. Brolin wasn’t driving, so it wasn’t a DUI charge. Instead, he was picked up for public intoxication. He spent no time in custody, however, according to the TMZ story.
