Detroit Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh has a career ahead of him as a lifeguard if this football gig doesn’t work out.

The athlete came to the rescue of comedian Louie Anderson, who started drowning while the pair were training for ABC’s upcoming celebrity diving special “Splash,” according to TMZ.

According to the report, Anderson became exhausted while practicing his dives and wasn’t able to leave the water. Suh, along with “Splash” coach Greg Louganis helped pull Anderson out of the pool, where he coughed up water on the deck.

Anderson is now fully recovered from the incident and his reps tell TMZ that the comedian is “feeling great, loving the challenge.”

Other celebrity “Splash” participants lined up for the show include Kendra Wilkinson, Katherine Webb and Drake Bell.
