Nothing gets between Tim McGraw and his Calvins, or his leather pants. The country star got caught going commando on Tuesday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” much to the delight of the studio audience.
The talk-show host flashed a photo of the singer while out jogging that revealed he was wearing Ellen DeGeneres-branded underwear (she gives them out on her show). When McGraw admitted he loved Ellen’s undies, she gave him a big box full of new ones.
But then she asked, “Are you wearing them right now?”
“Uh, No,” McGraw replied. “These pants were too tight to put underwear on.”
Ellen grinned slyly as the audience erupted in wild applause.
“Now I’ve really embarrassed my daughters,” McGraw laughed (he has three daughters with wife Faith Hill). “You caught me off guard, what was I supposed to say?”
From one confession to another, the interview took a more serious turn when McGraw, 45, talked about his recent sobriety.

McGraw, who’s promoting his latest album, “Two Lanes of Freedom” and covers the new issue of People magazine, has been sober for five years now and discussed what finally made him quit drinking.
“Well, my life has been a series of events that told me I shouldn’t drink anymore probably. But I felt like it was time to grow up a little bit for me,” McGraw told Ellen.
“Things weren’t going the way I wanted them to. People would probably say, you know what, I drink more than that or I didn’t drink that much. I think it’s a personal choice. When it gets to the point where you think it’s affecting you adversely and it’s affecting your relationships adversely, it’s time to make a change and I thought it was,” McGraw said.
