Say goodbye to the G4 network, because Esquire is moving in.
Beginning April 22, the G4 network will be rebranded the Esquire Network through a partnership between NBCUniversal and Hearst Magazines. Designed to be a Bravo-type series for upscale males, the network will look to broaden G4’s focus on games, gear and gadgets to look at the likes of entertainment, food and travel.
According to Deadline, upcoming reality shows being developed for the channel include programs such as “Knife Fight,” described as “an underground, after-hours cooking competition where talented chefs go head to head in front of a rowdy crowd of celebrities, critics and die-hard foodies.”
Another series will be executive produced by Anthony Bourdain that will feature “travel-loving, well-known personalities” who bring audiences to their favorite city and provide a look at where to eat, party and have fun.
However, not everything will change. G4′s popular “American Ninja Warrior” will return for its fifth season this summer.
