After wrapping up a long run on Nickelodeon’s “iCarly,” series star Miranda Cosgrove is already heading back to TV.
The actress will co-star on NBC’s “Girlfriend in a Coma,” according to The Hollywood Reporter where she will team with Christina Ricci. The series will center on a mother (Ricci) who wakes up from a coma after two decades to discover that she has a daughter (Cosgrove) that she never knew about. The article states that Cosgrove’s character, Evie, is a “small-town overachieving loner who can’t shake the legacy of being the daughter of Coma Lady. When her mother wakes up, her world is turned upside down and every hope she had of keeping her nose to the grindstone — saving money and getting grades for an out-of-state college — is thrown out the window.”
“iCarly” ran on Nickelodeon for seven seasons.
