Steven Tyler admits that he has a nose for money, so to speak, telling Australia’s “60 Minutes” that he spent he spent at least $5 million to feed his cocaine habit.
The Aerosmith singer and former “American Idol” judge was asked about his cocaine use during the ’70s and ’80s and he confirmed that the amount of powder that went up his nose was, indeed, shocking.
“Probably, realistically, $5 or 6 [million], easy,” Tyler said of the amount of money he spent on his addiction. “But it doesn’t matter. You could also say I snorted half of Peru, but, you know, it’s what we did.”
Tyler has since been in and out of rehab multiple times, including a stay at the Betty Ford Clinic in 2009 after relapsing.
