‘Duck Dynasty’ Stars on Morrissey’s Anti-‘Duck’ Crusade: ‘Gimme a Break!’

The cast of A&E’s “Duck Dynasty” wasn’t offended that singer Morrissey cancelled on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Tuesday night … because they’ve never heard of him.

The British singer and animal rights activist was scheduled to perform on the program, where the Robertsons from the hit A&E series were also guests. But Morrissey refused to appear on the show if TV’s latest reality sensations were there, saying the family of Louisiana “Duck” hunters “amount to animal serial killers.”

“Look, when they were telling me about this, I said, oh you mean the lead singer of The Doors?” said Si Robertson, “and they said, no you idiot! But that’s who I thought it was… So I didn’t know he was a vegetarian.”

“We don’t quite know where that came from,” continued family patriarch Phil Robertson, “but you know, a couple hundred years ago we ran that bunch outta here, and next thing you know, one or two of them comes back and starts dictating policy on what we’re gonna eat. I mean, gimme a break,” Phil said.

“Look, I don’t hold it against him, whoever the guy is, if the guy wants to eat vegetables, we don’t care,” he added. Watch the Clip Below.

Morrissey may not be a fan of the Robertson clan, but plenty of others are. In fact, their sudden fame has taken some getting used to Phil says, because their trademark beards-and-camo look is hard to miss.

“It is one of the most difficult ordeals I have ever seen in my life, getting from point A to point B any more, it’s just a mad house,” Phil told Kimmel.

“We now understand what has spawned the Charlie Sheens of the world,” he added.

“Wanna know what’s really scary? There are literally hundreds and hundreds of women that are emailing, giving their resume, they want to marry — not me, not Willie, not Jase — they want to marry … Si,” said Phil, revealing that his brother is the surprising stud of the show, which is flat-out amazing when you consider the group of men are known for abandoning hygiene and baths during duck season.

The third-season premiere of “Duck Dynasty” airs Wednesday, February 27 at 10/9c on A&E.
