The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and “Vanderpump Rules” star Lisa Vanderpump is going to need a lot of her famous rosé wine to get through her new gig on “Dancing with the Stars“!

That’s what the reality show star confided exclusively to xfinityTV Tuesday after she was announced as one of the new celebrity competitors on the 16th season of the dancing series.

But will Vanderpump rule on the dance floor as she does in her Los Angeles restaurants? Or will Lisa’s “Housewives” co-stars all be laughing at her?

Here, in an interview right after Tuesday’s new cast announcement, the 52-year-old Lisa, who will be dancing with new “DWTS” pro Gleb Savchenko, dishes to xfinityTV about the dance challenges ahead.

Why did you decide to do “DWTS”?
Why wouldn’t I? It’s so exciting. It’s the most gorgeous, fabulous, glamorous show, and it’s just such an honor to be asked.

So you’ve been watching it!
Yes. Well, I don’t watch much television because I work at night. I have restaurants. But when I’ve watched it, I’ve loved it. It’s fantasy, really. It also looks like a lot of bloody hard work.

As we know from “Housewives,” you love your rosé [wine]. Can you still drink it and do this show?
Oh, God. I think I’m going to have to drink my rosé to get through it!
Partner Gleb Savchenko cuts in and says: Before practice and after practice!
Back to Lisa: Yeah!

Are the other “Housewives” going to be jealous you’re on “DWTS”?
Well, I don’t know because none of them know [yet] and I haven’t spoken to anybody. I’ve never mentioned it. I think it was easier that way. Some will be supportive; others won’t be, just like when I got my [“Housewives”] spinoff [“Vanderpump Rules”]. Some were supportive, others never mentioned it.

What will Brandi [Glanville] think of you dancing?
She’s good! She Tweeted [about it this morning]. She’s always very supportive. That’s what you should do, support each other because we’re all different.

Tell me about your previous dance experience.
[Indicates a tiny smidgen with her fingers] Well, a little. I danced at school; I have to be honest, I did.

What does your husband Ken [Todd] think about this?
He’s thrilled to see me spending so much time with it. [Joking] As long as [Gleb] doesn’t touch me!

You’re already in such great shape, but celebrities always see body changes on the show. Are you looking forward to that?
Oh, I need to tone it all up, trust me. It’s all held together by safety pins.

You talked about Adrienne Maloof’s nasty self-tanner that stained your couch on “Housewives.” You do know you’ll have to wear spray tan on “DWTS,” don’t you?
Yeah. They already gave me a good going over [today].

You don’t like spray tan coming off on your couch, though!
Mine won’t. Isn’t that the rudest thing? Give me a break. That was disgusting!

What about your dog, Giggy? Will he be around on your dance journey?
He’ll be in rehearsal. I don’t know if he’ll be in the dance. That might be pushing it. [Jokes] Dancing in the background.

On “GMA,” you talked about wearing all pink costumes. Will that be possible?
I don’t know. I’m feeling a little pink in my direction. I’m all about the pink.

How do you think you’ll do on the show?
If I can get through the first two weeks, then I’ll feel like I’ve been a total success. I just need to survive.

Did you know any of the cast members before today?
No. I know Brooke [Burke-Charvet] who hosts it. But we didn’t talk about it. Wynonna [Judd] is full of it. We need big characters on the show. It’s going to be fun. We don’t want it to be boring, that’s for sure!

The new season of “DWTS” premieres Monday, March 18 at 8/7c on ABC.
