It’s the worst-kept secret in the ballroom.
“The Bachelor” is going “Dancing” this season. Yes, there is much more Shirtless Sean in your future, America!
As XFINITYTV accurately predicted weeks ago, the newly engaged Sean Lowe is joining the cast as a “surprise” twelfth contestant who will compete on Season 16 of “Dancing with the Stars.” He’ll be paired with “DWTS” champ Peta Murgatroyd (who won last spring with NFL star Donald Driver).

ABC revealed the news Tuesday on “Good Morning America,” where Lowe and his new fiancee Catherine Giudici appeared the morning after “The Bachelor” finale, where Lowe handed out the final rose to Catherine (and broke Lindsay’s heart).
Murgatroyd also came out on stage to explain how she’ll be quickly whipping the reality star into “Dancing” shape; Lowe needed to complete his “Bachelor” responsibilities before he could tackle “DWTS.”
But it will be a busy, busy spring for Sean, as he juggles the grueling work of competing on “DWTS,” while planning his summer TV wedding with Catherine. If they don’t break up first, of course.
The two-hour season premiere of “Dancing with the Stars” kicks off Monday, March 18, at 8/7c on ABC. The first elimination will take place the following week on the first Results Show, airing Tuesday, March 26 at 9/8c on ABC.
