This time around, “The Bachelor” cast-off getting the old second shot at love on the franchise spin-off “The Bachelorette” is Desiree Hartsock.

Hartsock, a 26-year-old fashion designer and “fan favorite,” was eliminated before stunned viewers’ eyes following the hometown dates episode this season after her brother Nate
ruined it for her had a tense face-to-face with lover boy Sean Lowe.
ABC has confirmed that Hartsock will star as the next “Bachelorette” in the ninth edition of the show to air this summer. Chris Harrison made the announcement during Monday night’s “The Bachelor: After the Final Rose” special.
The new season of “The Bachelorette” debuts with a two-hour premiere on Monday, May 20, at 9/8c on ABC.
