The “NCIS” world is expanding once again.

As previously announced, John Corbett and Kim Raver are set to star in the proposed spin-off of “NCIS: Los Angeles,” which will follow a team of mobile agents as they solve crimes across the country.

Their characters — Raver plays Special Agent Paris Summerskill and Corbett is Roy Haines — were introduced in the “backdoor pilot” on Tuesday’s “NCIS: LA” episode, “Red: Part One.” If it’s successful, the potential series could be officially picked up by CBS for fall.

Here are the circumstances in which viewers met the new crew: When a murder weapon in Idaho matches the one used in a national security case in L.A., Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) fly to the crime scene to join “NCIS: Red” in the investigation.

“NCIS: Los Angeles” airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on CBS.
