LOS ANGELES ( – Melissa McCarthy will stop by “Sesame Street” this week to help Elmo present the “word of the day” segment.

The Bridesmaids” star’s appearance isn’t scheduled to run until March 21, but the folks at PBS have posted a video of her antics. Suffice to say, they’re much more sanitized than her work in that gross-out comedy.

McCarthy will help Elmo unpack the meaning of choreographer. With help from a dancing penguin, the two cut up a rug together, popularizing some new moves that seem destined to delight young viewers.

McCarthy is the latest celebrity to stop by “Sesame Street” this season. Among the eclectic mix of big names slated to make an appearance are Jon Hamm and baseball slugger Matt Kemp.

Hopefully “Mad Man”s’ Hamm won’t tutor Elmo in the art of mixing the perfect highball.
