The stork dropped a baby bombshell this morning on “The Today Show.”
“Today” weekend anchor Jenna Wolfe announced on-air that she is pregnant with her first child. Wolfe also took the opportunity to come out publicly with her partner, NBC News correspondent Stephanie Gosk.
“My girlfriend, Stephanie Gosk, who works here at NBC, and I are expecting a baby girl at the end of August,” Wolfe said. “We’re really excited.”
The thrilled mom-to-be discusses her bundle of joyous news and her decision to come out in the new issue of People magazine out Friday.
“This is the most exciting thing that has ever happened to us,” Wolfe tells People magazine. “But I don’t want to bring my daughter into a world where I’m not comfortable telling everyone who I am and who her mother is.”
Wolfe, 39, and Gosk, 40, have been together for three years. They say they do have plans to get married but are focused on bringing their baby girl into the world first.
“In a way, we can’t wait to start,” Wolfe says. “Stephanie keeps saying, ‘Hurry up! What’s taking so long?’ And I’m like, ‘[The baby's] cooking!’”
