ABC Finds Its Alice for ‘Once Upon a Time’ Spinoff

English-born Australian actress Sophie Lowe has landed the plum role of Alice in ABC’s potential spinoff series of “Once Upon a Time.”

The series, called “Once: Wonderland,” is set in Wonderland before the curse, according to Deadline, and “is told through the point of view of Alice who has a generous heart but carries the scars of a long hard life. She is joined by two other characters, Cyrus, Alice’s love interest with a background shrouded in mystery, and the Knave of Hearts, a sardonic adventurer, a man of action, a loner and a heart-breaker,” according to the report.

Production is set to start on April 7 in Vancouver.

Lowe has previously been seen in projects such as the movie “Beautiful Kate,” which was released in 2009, as well as “Blame.”
