After the big “Dancing with the Stars” prom night, I almost felt like four couples could kick off their dance shoes and go home immediately! The theme seemed to bring out the worst in many of the celebrities. I mean, did someone spike the punch bowl? Still, most of them had to graduate tonight, if not with honors.
As the Tuesday show opened, I was expecting comedian D.L. Hughley to get eliminated even though Wynonna Judd had the lowest score on Monday.
Brooke Burke-Charvet announced Zendaya Coleman and Jacoby Jones had been voted prom queen and king by the fans. The football star looked so cute in his big red crown. They would get two bonus points added to their scores, and—they were swiftly declared safe! Huey Lewis and the News performed “Heart of Rock and Roll,” how appropriate for the prom, and before commercial break, the stars took to the floor to do a little random freestylin’.
Then we saw a fun segment in which the stars and their pros entered a prom photo booth. “Who’s the black guy on the show who has no rhythm?” Cheryl Burke joked to her partner D.L. as they got their picture taken. Ouch!
Sean Lowe and Peta Murgatroyd were chosen for the encore dance but there was a surprise—judge Bruno Tonioli performed as one of the Village People this time in “YMCA” as a guest dancer. “DWTS” was going all “The Voice” on us with a judge showing what HE could do and Bruno gave it his campy best, totally upstaging Sean!

The show aired Monday night footage, which showed how Kellie PIckler talked to fans in the audience before her dance with Derek Hough. They were declared fit to dance again next week, of course, and Kellie jumped up and down in joy.
Then it was time to re-live D.L.’s Hughley’s humiliation from last night with the judges dissing him unmercifully. The comedian felt their remarks had gone too far, but Len Goodman said on Tuesday that he was actually GENEROUS towards D.L. Then shock in the press room as the battered funnyman was suddenly declared safe! I couldn’t believe it. So would that mean Wynonna was done? I sure hoped not as I always loved interviewing the candid country singer after the show.
Hmm. I honestly didn’t know how D.L. would even be able to perform next week because he looked so stiff; maybe they could pull out a waltz for him? This was where a compassionate release from “DWTS” might be in order; take note, producers.

The judges were shown raving about Victor Ortiz and Lindsay Arnold after their Monday contemporary performance. “We barely did it,” Lisa Vanderpump sighed to Gleb Savchenko when they finished their rough dance; her “RHOBH” co-star and BFF Brandi Glanville gave the judges’ critical comments a big thumb’s down in the audience.
The next couple coming back to the show would be Sean and Peta. Victor and Lindsay would also live to dance again. Lisa and Gleb and Andy Dick and Sharna Burgess, however, were in jeopardy.
After Demi Lovato performed her single from her new album, more behind the scenes footage unfurled. Ingo Rademacher was moaning about a wardrobe malfunction with his partner, Kym Johnson. “It’s okay, baby, I’m proud of you,” Tony Dovolani was shown telling Wynonna after a disaster of a Def Leppard dance.
Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas were put through to the next dance round, as were Ingo and Kym. That meant Wynonna and Tony were in danger, as I had feared.
So it was Lisa, Andy, and Wynonna who might never dance again. First, Lisa was told she was staying in the competition. Andy and Wynonna were in the bottom two!
Who would go home? It was Wynonna! What a shame as she was such a bright spirit on the show and she clicked so well with Tony. Tony gave his celebrity a hug to comfort her.
