“Today” might soon be down another member, according to reports.
Hoda Kotb, who famously teams with Kathie Lee Gifford for the fourth hour of the show, has been talking with other studios in what may be an exit strategy from her gig on the staple NBC series. Kotb, according to Entertainment Weekly, is “exploring other job possibilities” and in discussions to possibly host her own program, maybe even her own daytime talk show.
In addition, rumors have also surfaced that Gifford wanted to permanently move the fourth hour to LA.
With her contract coming up, even more rumors are sure to surface about Kotb’s future with the series. However, a source close to Kotb denied the co-host wants to leave the show-despite her recent meetings-stating, “Hoda loves her job at the ‘Today’ show and adores everyone she works with on the show. Her contract is coming up and she’s just expanding relationships and having coffee with a few people.”
Earlier today, Kotb and Gifford taped an episode that celebrated their fifth anniversary of working together, which will air on Friday.
