“Breaking Bad” may be coming to an end this year, but the franchise could live on in spinoff land.
AMC is contemplating the idea of launching a spinoff of the addictive drama, which would center around “Breaking Bad’s” criminal lawyer Saul Goodman, played by Bob Odenkirk, according to Deadline.
The project is said to be in the very early stages, but if it were to get the greenlight, the show would be helmed by the original series’ creator Vince Gilligan and writer-producer Peter Gould.
The supporting character of Saul was first introduced in Season 2 when Walt (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse (Aaron Paul) hired the sleazy lawyer and he’s been around ever since.
The final eight episodes of this fifth and final season of the Emmy-winning show will air this summer on AMC.
