NBC has a kids version of “The Voice” in the works, according to The New York Post.

“We are hoping [to begin production] by the end of the year,” a source tells the paper.

“The Voice Kids” will feature 8-to-14-year-old singers in a format, and on the same stage, as the current competition airing on the network.

Initial casting calls went out last week but were then reportedly put on hold by the network due to timing issues.

“There wasn’t enough time to get it together [before the upcoming fifth cycle],” the source said, so NBC plans to do it following this fall’s edition.

There’s already a mini spinoff of the talent competition on its way en espanol — Mexican pop star Paulina Rubio is one of the three singers coaching 7- to 14-year-old contestants for “La Voz Kids,” airing this May on Telemundo.

“The Voice Kids” has already been successfully done in Germany, Holland and Finland, the Post says.

“The Voice” airs Mondays at 8/7c on NBC.
