When asked his current weight after Monday night’s “DWTS,” the comedian told xfinityTV, “I’m 155; I’m almost down to my high school weight. Can you believe it? I lost like 15 pounds.”
The former “Less Than Perfect” star also revealed some big career news to reporters: “I’ve landed a [TV] pilot. The industry in general wouldn’t touch me for a good two or three years and now they’re starting to. It’s a comedy pilot—four camera. To be honest, I’m not one of the leads. In shows, I’m always the funny guy on the show. Hopefully it gets picked up.”
While he wouldn’t reveal the project’s details, Andy, who dances with Sharna Burgess, said he’s excited to go back to TV comedy work: “I love that stuff! I’ll be working there this week so it’s going to be a tough week if we’re still on [“DWTS”]. [But] we’ll make it work.”
On Monday, Andy and Sharna received a score of just 18 for their samba but judges praised him again for his lovable style.

It’s a far cry from where Andy was before–well known for substance abuse problems and scrapes with the law. Now that he’s changed his image on “DWTS,” Andy said, “When I walk down the street I don’t have people looking at me and shuffling their kids the other way or shaking their heads and going, oh, you?”
Andy would recommend the show to any star: “I think every celebrity should do it…just to grow as a person. I have to think, what can I do afterwards to keep growing, to keep on this path? Nothing compares.”
The “DWTS” results show airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on ABC.
