After rumors of a split between Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon made headlines in recent weeks, the co-host of “The Talk” took to the airwaves on Tuesday to discuss her problems with the famed rocker and his drug relapse.
“Everthing that has been printed in the tabloids has been distorted,” she told viewers. “There is always a little seed of truth to everything that gets reported, but then it gets very distorted. The only thing that was true was the Facebook posting that my husband did where he said that he’s been using alcohol and prescription drugs for the last year and a half.”
She goes on to tell audiences how Ozzy’s relapse is affecting her and her family.
“Everybody knows he’s been struggling with this his entire life and I never knew that he was using prescription drugs,” she said. “I knew he was drinking occasionally, but I didn’t realize to the extent. It’s our business, we’re dealing with it. We’re not getting divorced. However, am I happy? No. Am I upset? Yes, I am. I’m devastated right now. It’s a disease that not only hurt the person who has the disease, but it hurts the family.”
In his post, Ozzy confessed that he “was an a–hole to the people I love most, my family.”
“However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober,” he wrote. “I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends and my band mates for my insane behavior during this period … and my fans.”
