HBO has renewed the Julia Louis-Dreyfus series “Veep” for Season 3, the network announced Wednesday. Like previous seasons, the third season will feature 10 episodes, which will air in 2014.

The “Seinfeld” alum stars in the Emmy-nominated comedy as Selina Meyer, who has the thankless job of being the Vice President of the United States.

The show co-stars Tony Hale (“Arrested Development”) as the Vice President’s right-hand man, Anna Chlumsky (of 1991’s “My Girl” fame) as Amy, Meyer’s chief of staff, and Reid Scott as Dan, an ambitious political aide.

Season 2 of “Veep” kicked off on April 14, with its most recent episode drawing 1.3 million total viewers.

“Veep” airs Sundays at 10/9c on HBO.
