From the looks of things, more blood will be spilled than usual, now that it’s “time for humans to bite back” and Louisiana officially declares war on vampires. That’s all thanks to the “New Bill” and his new vampire-God complex.

Other things remain the same, such as lots of sexy times with hot people wearing little clothing, and Eric being wicked-hot, Jason being dumb-hot and Alcide being just plain sexy-hot.

And, of course, it’s the same old story with Sookie, who can “barely remember the last time I wasn’t in danger.”

“Truebies” can also look forward to some new faces ripping up the new season, including Rutger Hauer as a mysterious and surely sinister character known as Macklyn; Jurnee Smollett-Bell (“Friday Night Lights,” Tyler Perry’s “Temptation”) as activist Nancy Jannsen; Arliss Howard as Louisiana Governor Creighton Burrell, and Amelia Rose Blaire as the governor’s daughter, Willa Burrell.

The new season of “True Blood” premieres Sunday, June 16 at 9/8c on HBO.
