“Bachelor” Sean Lowe, who was eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars” on Tuesday night, would love to be the next “Jeopardy!” host!

When if he’d like to do TV hosting, Sean mused to reporters during his “DWTS” exit interview, “I’d like to take Alex Trebek’s job. Where do I send in my application?”

That surprising idea followed a no-brainer Tuesday night results show for Sean. The reality TV hunk totally expected to be sent packing from “DWTS” — and he was.

“I feel fine,” good-natured Sean shrugged to reporters after learning his fate.  With partner Peta Murgatroyd by his side, he said, “We had such a good time and we spent so many great hours together, and we accomplished pretty much everything I wanted to accomplish. It was just a rewarding experience and I’m okay with going home tonight.”

Sean knew he was in a bad spot Monday night when he earned only 42 out of 60 points for his two dances, in which he portrayed a runaway groom and then a magician. Both performances received bad reviews from the judges, with Len Goodman calling one of them “ugly” and Bruno Tonioli using the word “tragic” to describe Sean’s dance moves.

When his closest competitors, Ingo Rademacher and his partner Kym Johnson, were called safe at the start of Tuesday’s show, Sean admitted he thought, “I’m going home. We were kind of prepared for it anyway because we had the lowest scores last night — but when they said Ingo was safe, I knew that our time was up.”

The blond insurance company businessman, who shot to fame and got engaged to Catherine Giudici on last season’s “The Bachelor,” gave Peta all the credit for getting him into the final six: “She’s incredible and worked her butt off to make me a somewhat decent dancer. I truly will miss her.

“I learned that I really can accomplish things if I put enough hard work into it and I wouldn’t have put that work in it had she not pushed me along the way.”

After getting the dance axe, Sean was comforted by Catherine in the audience. “She said the same thing she says every week — ‘I’m proud of you. I love you,'” he smiled.

When asked how he would now fill his days, Sean said, “That’s a good question. I love not knowing, because that means I’ve got a lot of free time, so it’ll probably be spending time with Catherine… I’ll get back to working out like I used to, playing with my dogs, you name it!

“I still have my business in Dallas so, at some point, that’s going to take me back to Dallas, but I do know if an opportunity comes up that’s too great to pass up, I’ll take a look at it and weigh all my options,” Sean added.

Sean hinted that he might already have “an iron or two” in the fire career-wise (in Hollywood?), “but nothing I can really talk about.”

The reality star revealed he still has his Dallas home, but he and Catherine will probably stay in Los Angeles for the summer “just to avoid the Dallas heat. I don’t know how long we’ll be out here.”

He also was coy about when his long-anticipated wedding to Catherine (which is set to air on ABC) would take place. “Now that I’ve got more time, we’ll definitely start to map that out. I don’t know when it will be, but hopefully we’ll figure that out pretty soon. We’re not registered yet,” Sean laughed.

He’ll also be cheering on his former “Bachelor” co-star Desiree Hartsock, whose “Bachelorette” season begins airing later this month on ABC. “I’ll be watching ‘The Bachelorette.’ I hope Des’ story works out as well as mine did,” Sean told xfinityTV.

Meanwhile, the final five dancers — Kellie Pickler, Zendaya Coleman, Jacoby Jones, Aly Raisman, and Ingo Rademacher — are on their way to next week’s “DWTS” semi-finals.

Ingo and Kym will be performing the Charleston and the samba. “Both of them are hard dances but I think the fact that one is very sexy and the other one is light and fun may show that we can do a variety of things,” Ingo told reporters.

And Aly and Mark are set to take on the rumba and Afro jazz. “This whole experience has been amazing,” she said. “I was thinking today this is the most fun I’ve ever had in my whole life. I’m very happy to be here for another week.”
