CBS Cancels CSI:NY, Vegas, Rules of Engagement

As networks add and subtract from the fall schedules this week, CBS has made a few cuts of its own.

The network has canceled long-running series “CSI: NY,” as well as rookie series “Vegas” and sitcom “Rules of Engagement,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. In addition, the network as also scrapped midseason show “Golden Boy,” according to Deadline.

The “CSI” spinoff is ends its 9th season this year, but the season finale was now mark the series finale as well, according to the report. Fans of the show’s actors may not have to wait long to see them again, however. Core cast members Natalie Martinez and Hill Harper have already lined up new series regular roles on USA Network’s “Covert Affairs” and CBS’ summer drama “Under the Dome,” respectively.

The cancellations come after CBS ordered two dramas in “Intelligence” and “Hostages” for the 2013-14 season.
